Hill Family

Jake's little Brother Joel, who lived with us for a couple of years, came up for a visit and his WEDDING! (the wedding will be a later post) While him and Candice were up here we had a great time hanging out and kept ourselves busy with sporting events, shopping, eating yummy food, and catching up.

Basketball
The Girls at the basketball game.
The Boys at the basketball game.
Joel's old basketball coach from high school is now coaching a high school team here up north. We all were able to go and watch his team play a game!

Football
Jake and his brother Joel, both attended Hurricane High growing up. It just so happened that Hurricane made it to state this year (for football), and so they had the opportunity to play their state game right here in Salt Lake and the Rice Eccles Stadium (The U of U field). Jake and Joel both wanted to go and watch their old high school play, so we all loaded up in the truck and went to watch the game. It was a close game, but sadly hurricane lost. Maybe they will make it to state again next year and we can go and watch them play again!

Thanksgiving 2009

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays, its not about the gifts you give, its not about money, not about the artificial mascots that represent certain holidays. It is a holiday where you as a person/individual can look at all of the many wonderful things that you are sincerely thankful for.

I am so thankful for:
- My supportive and loving husband.
- My health and my families health.
- Family and Friends that truly care about me and my family.
- My home
- Financial Stability
- Knowing that my life has purpose
- Patients

This years Thanksgiving was full of many first for me, the first time cooking the whole meal (Bruce and I accomplished making the whole dinner together), first time celebrating this holiday as a mother, and the first time of having the feast in my home. So glad that everyone was able to come be with us, and be together. We had a great time and love you all!

Pie YUMMY!

Games, we LOVE playing games!

Going Private!

Jake and I have decided that we are going to make our blog a private blog. We want you all to enjoy our blog still, so please leave a comment on with your e-mail address and we will make sure we add you!

Miss Sadie's Stats

We went to the Doctor last week for Sadies 4 month visit. Doc said she is growing and healthy! She now weighs 12 lbs 7 ounces and is 25.5 inches long! She is tall and thin. She is in the 25 percentile for weight and in the 87 percentile for length! Maybe she has some of her Great Grandma Jones' genes tall and skinny cuz we all know that Jake nor I are very tall.

4 Months

ALREADY 4 months! WOW! Sadie is growing and changing daily! Just this past week she started rolling from her back to her tummy. We can no longer set her down and run upstairs, she is scooting/moving around too much! We go to the doctor next week for her favorite... shots =( We will also find out how big she is!

Halloween

This year we had Britt and Bryce over for dinner, desert and carving pumpkins. We had clam chowder (which has become a halloween tradition for us) and bread bowls. YUUMMM!

Sadie Decided that she wanted to help out with the carving. She took a bite right out of the pumpkin =) (insert sarcasm here)

* note there was no harm to the baby here. She did not get stuck, or eat the pumpkin.*

Britt's so called "scary" monster.

Pumpkin Patch

This past weekend we decided to take Sadie to the pumpkin patch! We had a great time, and enjoyed the nice weather (it felt way to warm to be October). Jake had found this cute little pumpkin patch one day when he was running errands. It was defiantly a family friendly place, perfect for us and other families with small children. They had a small maze, jumbo air trampoline, bing-bag toss, hay ride, fruit stand, fresh apple cider, and kettle corn.

Sadie was so tired she wasn't interested in getting her picture taken. This was the best of about 15 pictures =)

"Farmer Joe" the hay ride driver

This weekend we also decided that we should take a ride up the canyon to see all of the fall colors, before they are gone and replaced with that white fluffy cold stuff. This is one of my favorite times of year when all of the leaves are changing color.

Road Trip!

So last week we went on vacation to Washington and we decided to drive up even though we had never taken a long road trip with Sadie (we had driven to Idaho Falls with her but that is only a 3 hour drive) this time the drive was 9-10 hours! Jake and I were both a little nervous not knowing how Sadie would act, however she did GREAT!
She slept...
She laughed...
She played with her toys...
and slept some more!
Such a happy baby and such a blessing in our lives! Miss you Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Jas and Aunt Jess, Eric, Kristie, Austen, Alyssa, Riley, Chelsea, Terrick, Jenn, and Mic! (sorry if I forgot anyone else! We miss you all!)

Uncle Joel and Aunt Candice

Lil Sadie got to meet her Uncle Joel for the first time this past week, he has been on a mission in Paraguay for the past 2 years. We were so excited to hang out and catch up on life, and Sadie loved him and Candice (soon to be Aunt)! Can't wait to hang out again soon! We miss you both already. Hopefully this distance between us will only be temporary.
